Using Your Car Seat Cover
As you review the instructions below, please keep in mind that your original car seat cover should
not be removed. The Peanut Shell Car Seat Cover is intended to function as a slip cover and should be
placed over the original car seat cover. Please read on for more information.
Graco Snugride and Safe Seat
If you do not have your Graco handbook as a reference, please use the following directions to install
your Peanut Shell Car Seat Cover:

In the back of the car seat, unlatch the seat belts from the metal bracket.

Pull the loose seatbelts from the front, and they should slip right out of the seat.

Once you have pulled the seatbelts loose slip your Peanut Shell Cover over the top of the existing
cover and repeat the process in reverse, making sure all seatbelts are placed in the correct
locations and secured in the back with the metal bracket.
Canopy Replacement

Push the Graco canopy to one side, exposing the plastic support bars that hold the canopy in place.

The center of the support is where the canopy comes apart. Using both hands, pull the canopy support
bar apart.

Once the support bars are apart, remove the old Graco canopy and slip on the Peanut Shell Cover.

Secure the support bars by snapping them shut, and then slide the canopy into place.
Britax - Companion (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008)
If you do not have your Britax handbook as a reference, please use the following directions to install
your Peanut Shell Car Seat Cover:

In the back of the car seat, unlatch the seat belts from the metal bracket.

Pull the loose seat belts from the front, and they should slip right out of the seat.

Once the seat belts are out of the original Britax cover, slip your Peanut Shell cover over the
top of the existing car seat cover.

Once you have your slipcover on, repeat the seat belt process in reverse, making sure all seat
belts are placed in the correct places and secured in the back with the metal bracket.
Canopy Replacement

Push the Britax canopy to one side, exposing the plastic support bars that hold the canopy in place.

The center of the support is where the canopy comes apart. Using both hands, pull the canopy
support bar apart.

Once the support bars are apart, remove the old Britax canopy and slip on the Peanut Shell Cover.

Secure the support bars by snapping them shut, then slide the canopy into place (do this for both
the front and back support bars).
Peg-Perego, Primo Viaggio (2002-2005)
If you do not have your Primo Viaggio handbook as a reference, please use the following directions to
install your Peanut Shell Car Seat Cover:

In the back of the car seat, unlatch the seatbelts from the metal bracket.

Pull the loose seatbelts from the front, and they should slip right out of the seat.

Once the seatbelts and lower five point buckle (located in the lower portion of car seat in-between
the baby's legs) are out of the original Viaggio cover, slip your Peanut Shell Cover over the top
of the original car seat cover.

Repeat the seatbelt process in reverse, making sure all seatbelts are placed in the correct
locations and secured in the back with the metal bracket.
Canopy Replacement

Detach the whole canopy from the car seat.
-
You should have in your hands the whole original canopy with support bar.
-
Slide original canopy slightly to one side, exposing the support bar that clicks into the
plastic bracket (you will see where the bar attaches to the circular plastic bracket).

Where the bar slides into the circular plastic bracket, take a very large, standard flat-head
screwdriver and slide the flat end up under the space between the bar and bracket.

Lift the bracket high enough to slide the bar out from under it (pulling gently on the bar
while lifting the bracket).

Slide off the original Viaggio canopy and slip on the Peanut Shell Cover.

Snap the bar back into the Viaggio bracket and adjust Peanut Shell Cover.

Re-attach canopy to car seat.
Peg-Perego, Primo Viaggio (2006 & 2007 SIP & 2008 SIP 30/30)
If you do not have your Primo Viaggio handbook as a reference, please use the following directions
to install your Peanut Shell Car Seat Cover:

First, you will need to remove the attached headrest:

Carefully slip the bottom of the headrest off of the plastic support piece and then lift
up the headrest cover so that you can remove the lower Styrofoam padding.

Set the Styrofoam padding aside.
-
Lift the headrest cover high enough to see the two screws that attach the headrest to
the car seat.
-
Using a Phillips-head screwdriver, remove both screws and set them aside.
-
Now you can remove the headrest from the body of the car seat, which will allow you to
unlatch the seatbelts.

Next, find the back of the car seat and unlatch the seatbelts from the metal bracket.

Pull the loose seatbelts from the front, and they should slip right out of the seat.

Once the seatbelts are out of the original Viaggio cover, slip your Peanut Shell Cover over the
top of the Viaggio cover.

Once you have placed your Peanut Shell Cover over the top of your original Viaggio cover then
repeat the process in reverse, making sure all seatbelts are placed in the correct locations and
secured in the back with the metal bracket.

HEADREST: Reattach the headrest to the body of the car seat and return and secure the two screws
to their original location. Insert the lower Styrofoam into the headrest and you are done.
Canopy Replacement

Detach the whole canopy from the car seat.

You should have in your hands the whole original canopy with support bar.

Slide off the original Viaggio canopy and slip on the Peanut Shell Cover.

Adjust the Peanut Shell Cover and reattach canopy to the car seat.
